Eating with diabetes
For those who are newly diagnosed with Diabetes there are 10 key messages:
Key Messages
1. Eat regular meals2. Have a starchy food at each meal
3. Aim for at least 5 portions of fruit and vegetables each day
4. Reduce the amount of sugar in your diet
5. Reduce the total amount of fat in your diet
6. Use monounsaturated fats
7. Try and eat oily fish twice every week
8. Moderate alcohol intake
9. Reduce salt intake
10. Keep active
